Laura is a boy

I think about this picture a lot. It's a simple composition, and yet so striking and thought-provoking. That's really brilliant.

Most of all, even though this picture invokes a sense of longing, Laura has a smile on his face. I really like that. It shows how happy Laura is to see his true self in the mirror, but it also gives off a sense of hope that his longing may one day become a reality. It makes me smile too.
